In Nepal, Kirant is a popular festival celebrated by the castes of the community. Ubhauli festival is also known as Dhati Pujak. Ubhauli festival is celebrated by organizing various programs for a week. Ubhauli festival falls in the spring season and is celebrated for a month from Vaishakh Shukla Purnima. On the first day of Ubhouli festival, there is a custom of dancing Chandi Naach. The first day of this festival is known as Chandi Poornima as Chandi is a dance festival. The festival of Ubhauli falls on the full moon day of Baisakh. Rai, Sunuwar, Limbu, Chakla, Bantawa, Chamling communities celebrate the festival as a big festival.
